Meet the pastor:

Pastor: Rev. Patti Money

Pastor Patti began serving Jason Lee Memorial UMC in July 2016. She is a newcomer to Idaho, having spent most of her life in Virginia. Patti first sensed a call to ministry while she was in high school. Throughout college, she explored (and fought) that calling, finally answering it her senior year of college. She attended seminary in Kentucky and returned to Virginia after graduating with her Master of Divinity.

Patti has been in ministry for over ten years, and Jason Lee Memorial UMC is her fourth appointment. She has served congregations in Danville, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and her Virginia Beach. In addition, she spent four years working as a hospital chaplain. Patti is an ordained elder in the Virginia Annual Conference and for the time being, is currently serving “on-loan” to the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference.

Her greatest gifts and passions in ministry are: pastoral care, worship design/leadership, and equipping laity for ministry. She also has a heart and passion for the unchurched and those who are on the margins of society. Most of all, she has a passion for God and God’s people.

Pastor Patti has been married to James for 15 years. James has a PhD in Applied Math and is working at Idaho National Laboratory. They have two children: Susanna and Greg. Their family is completed by three Labrador Retriever mixes: Simon, Cotton, and Daisy.

Outside of church, Pastor Patti enjoys: running/walking, reading novels, watching “Grey’s Anatomy” and “The Big Bang Theory”, and cheering for the University of Kentucky Wildcats.
